Brandon T. Whitehurst

Brandon T. Whitehurst is Pastor and Founder of Faith Tabernacle Church of Spartanburg. He is a native of Greenville , South Carolina. Whitehurst is a graduate of Lander University, where he majored in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. He also earned a Masters of Divinity from Lenoir-Rhyne School of Theology – Lutheran Theological Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina

Early Beginnings

Pastor Whitehurst began ministering the word of God at the age of 14. He was licensed and ordained by his grandfather, Dr. Virgil L. Sullivan, Sr., Pastor of Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church, Greenville, South Carolina.

Involvement

Whitehurst is a community advocate for “Hold Out The Life Line”, a mission to families that encourages physical health. In addition, he is a member of the Southern Christian Leaders Conference, NAACP, The Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc., and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

Pastor Whitehurst preaches and teaches, “If God isn’t ashamed of me then why should I be ashamed of God”.
